An easier peak offering spectacular views over Sunnmøre and the Hjørundfjord. A great option when legs are tired or conditions limit higher objectives. The moderate terrain and shorter day make it accessible to most ski tourers.
Straightforward approach from the south
Moderate gradient throughout — good for building fitness
Summit views rival the bigger peaks
A perfect 'easy day' between harder objectives
Often done as a warmup or recovery day
Low to moderate — gentler terrain
“When the big peaks are shut down by wind or avalanche conditions, Blæja never disappoints. The views rival summits twice the height.”
“A perfect recovery-day peak — easier skiing but genuinely hard to leave. The Hjørundfjord view from the top is something else.”
