Reachable by traversing from Roaldshornet on the north side of the ski area. The approach crosses the broad terrain between the two summits. Some steeper stream gullies on the descent require attention.
Traverse from Roaldshornet along the north-side plateau
Beware steeper gully crossings on descent
Eastern descents lead down toward Stranda village
Best combined with Roaldshornet as a traverse day
Moderate — gully terrain can trap wind-loaded snow
“The plateau between Roaldshornet and Kleivdal feels like being on top of the world. Few tourists reach this section.”
“The eastern descent to Stranda village is a hidden gem — fresh tracks well into the afternoon when the resort side is tracked out.”
